David Brooks, Wales and Bournemouth midfielder came out to reveal Diagnosed with stage two Hodgkin’s lymphoma, the 24 year old, who joined Bournemouth from Sheffield United in 2018.
Had to withdraw from the latest Welsh squad due to illness.

David Brooks on cancer diagnosis: “Although this has come as a shock to myself and my family.
The prognosis is a positive one and I am confident that I will make a full recovery and be back playing as soon as possible.”
Which was later confirmed I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma.
This can happen from adults in their 20s to seniors over 70.
“This is the hardest message for me,” Brooks confirmed his condition on Tuesday.
“I have been diagnosed with stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma and will begin treatment next week,” he said
But the direction of the disease in a positive way.
Which I am confident that I will be able to recover completely again and come back to play football as soon as possible.
“I would like to thank the team of doctors and nurses, consultants and staff here for treating me with professionalism, warmth and understanding,” he said
